Our Story

Serving San Luis Obispo’s coin community with honesty, expertise, and passion since 1976.

Founded by longtime numismatist Jules Rogoff, Central Coast Coin Exchange has been a trusted destination for collectors and investors for nearly fifty years. What began as a small storefront built on integrity and enthusiasm has grown into a respected local business known for fair dealing, education, and genuine connection.

We believe numismatics is more than a business. It is a way to preserve history, spark curiosity, and build community, one coin at a time.

Meet the Team

Jules Rogoff — Owner

Jules Rogoff has been an avid numismatist since 1962. He began as a collector before opening his own coin shop in San Luis Obispo in 1976. Over the years he has met, learned from, and worked with some of the most knowledgeable dealers in the trade. Through that experience, he continues to share his knowledge and passion with collectors of all levels.

Having been part of the San Luis Obispo business community for more than 50 years, Jules is known for his honesty, professionalism, and enthusiasm for coins. These qualities define the Central Coast Coin Exchange experience.
